Meet Molly

My name is Molly Brubaker and my husband is Ted.  We homeschool because God put this on our hearts before our first child entered preschool.  We use textbooks for our core subjects and lots of library materials.  This year we've also used geography games to make the desk work a little more fun.

Search for geography games on the web:

Our day starts early with basic chores and devotional time with God.  On Fridays we keep the schedule lighter so that we can participate in our group's activities.  I need support, whether emotional, spiritual, or academic, from people who homeschool for similar reasons that I do.  Belonging to CHEEF has made me realize how important it is to have a strong support group--and that I am not alone on this road I travel!

Meet the Group That Supports Molly

CHEEF (Christian Home Educators Enjoying Fellowship) is a Christian cooperative group established to promote home education in the community.  It also provides support to families who are currently educating or preparing to educate their children at home.  As part of our function, we include enrichment activities, such as art classes, drama club, yearbook staff, and theater programs.; spiritual and emotional support to parents, such as Mom's nights out; and positive healthy peer contact for children taught at home, such as bowling, ice skating, rollerskating, kickball, potlucks, and parties.  CHEEF also offers standard testing each spring for grades 1-12.  CHEEF believes that the Lord Jesus Christ must be central and supreme in the rearing of our children and that Godly education is an inseparable part of the Christian faith.

CHEEF serves Sandusky, Huron, Milan, Berlin Heights, Norwalk, Monroeville, Bellevue, Clyde, Castalia, and Vickery.  Molly served as director for CHEEF through the end of the '07-'08 school year.  She can be contacted at 419 484-2337 or via email.  The new director is Amy White, available at 419-502-6252 or via email.
