Meet Vicki

My name is Vicki and I'm from Norwalk. I really believe homeschooling is the best option for my kids, and I believe it's what God wants me to do, too.

We have a very relaxed style, pulling our curriculum from lots of different resources. The main thing is that we fit the education to our kids, rather than our kids to the education. We try to meet them where they are and encourage them along that path.

Our homeschool group not only offers support and fellowship for me, but also gives me the opportunity to help support other homeschoolers. I'm always willing to do that.

It's also nice because of the educational and social opportunities for our kids through field trips and activities.

The Firelands HomeSchoolers group is a relaxed network of families from Norwalk and the surrounding areas: Milan, Huron, Sandusky, North Fairfield, New London, Greenwich, Wellington, Willard, Monroeville, Wakeman...

It is our desire to support each other and join together in activities such as field trips, the Reading and Art Celebration, science fair, service projects, and social activities. If this sounds good to you, then by all means, join us!
