Meet JoAnn My name is JoAnn and I'm from Fremont. I have four children ranging in age from 15 to 3. I split my time between homeschooling my three youngest children and teaching at the local Christian school where my oldest now attends. I started homeschooling because I wasn't happy with the quality of the education my child was receiving in kindergarten. I also didn't like all the extras they were teaching him. Once we started homeschooling, I was hooked! Therefore, when my second child was ready for school, it was just natural to teach him at home, too. We have a laid back and eclectic style. I utilize lots of free internet resources, books, lapbooks, unit studies, and hands-on learning. Nature study and journaling is part of our studies as well. I appreciate being able to relate with other homeschoolers about the challenges and joys of the task. I always hope to gain ideas and inspiration from others, and sometimes I just need a little adult conversation to stay sane! |

Meet JoAnn's Group My online support group, Homeschooling on a Budget, focuses on sharing free internet resources. Some examples include unit studies, lapbooks, and notebooking pages. I am passionate about homeschooling and helping others find affordable and practical ways to do it. I am available by email, phone at 419 334-8945, or at the Fremont Baptist Temple Christian School. |
